About Me

Hello and thank you so much for visiting my website!

As you could probably guess, my name is Erica. I am a wildlife, landscape, and action photographer as well as an acrylic painter located in Lancaster, PA. Since I have discussed my photography and painting journeys on their respective pages, I will not do so again here. Instead, I will use the About Me section to, well, tell you more about myself!

I grew up in south central Pennsylvania, but I have also lived in North Carolina, Missouri, Arizona and Scotland. I like to move around a bit. There is so much to see and experience on Earth! My plan is to move to Malaga, Spain in a few years. I have always wanted to live in Europe and live near a crystal clear ocean!

Personality wise, I am basically a mix between a grumpy, old man and an overly excited toddler. I prefer to be by myself and love my word games, but I also sleep on dinosaur and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sheets! When I discuss my interests, I totally get wide-eyed and excited! My bedroom is filled with cartoon characters and animals. The only way you can tell an adult lives there is by the plethora of true crime books and classic rock band paraphernalia.

I am a big fan of comedy movies and shows. My favorite movie is Young Frankenstein. I also love every other Mel Brooks movie because he's a comedy genius! My favorite show is The Golden Girls. I am currently really into What We Do in the Shadows and Only Murders in the Building. I also love to watch nature documentaries. That's where my love of wildlife originated. My favorites are any documentaries narrated by David Attenborough. He is a global treasure.

At the moment I am unable to use my dominant hand, so I am playing around with painting with my non-dominant hand. It is quite frustrating and I may not get anything worth sharing out of it, but I can't see not making any art for months on end. Unfortunately I am unable to accept any painting commissions at the moment due to the injury. I am also unable to do any photography as I cannot physically hold a camera. I miss it immensely!

Well, I hope that you have enjoyed your little peek into the world according to Erica. Now back to business: Please check out my shop for all available paintings and photographs for purchase! I am available for painting commissions and to hire for photography jobs once I am healthy!
